Florida and Texas Store Locations Reopening for Memorial Day!

We will be reopening our doors on May 25th, 2020 to celebrate Memorial Day with all of you! We look forward to seeing you, but things will be slightly different given the current pandemic. A few changes to note:

  • One-way Aisles: All of our clothing aisles have directional arrows guiding you through the store to avoid close contact with others. Please follow them.

  • Masks: Everyone in the store is required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth in order to protect from the spread of germs.

  • Limited Occupancy: In order to keep everyone at a safe and comfortable distance, we will be limiting the number of customers we can have in the store at one time. Please be mindful of your fellow shoppers waiting to come in as you shop.

  • The 6’ Rule: Do your best to keep a safe distance from others throughout the store, taking special care not to lean on the counters when looking at jewelry items and when completing your purchase with a cashier.

Your patience during these tricky times will go a long way, and we ask that you cooperate with our new policies in order to maintain a safe, enjoyable shopping experience.

How to make the most of your time in quarantine

Whether your job has been temporarily put on hold, or you are just doing your part to save lives, we are all looking for engaging ways to spend our days at home. How about going through some old clothes and storage spaces? You can make a double difference by making a donation to one of our stores: your house is cleaner, and you’re providing quality clothing and household items for those in need! We will be re-launching our donation pick-up operation soon so make sure to have your items ready! We look forward to seeing you.

Call (800) 775-VETS (8387) to get started, or visit www.scheduleapickup.com.

Stores Temporarily Closed due to Coronavirus

As COVID-19 continues to affect our lives, we all must do our part. In considering the health and well-being of our customers and employees we have decided to temporarily close our stores nationally. Thank you for your patience and support in this uncertain time, we look forward to reopening soon.

A Letter to Our Customers

Our team at Family Thrift Center is taking every step necessary to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and protect our employees, participants, community partners, customers and donors. Our preventative steps follow the recommendations of the CDC.

Our stores are supplied with disinfectant, and we will be wiping down surfaces and carts throughout the day. We do not mean to alarm our customers by taking these measures, but are trying to provide you with peace of mind that a clean shopping environment is our priority to prevent the spread or exposure of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and other communicable diseases.

Our stores will stay open for as long as possible because we are committed to providing the goods and services that our respective communities have come to rely on. Our collective goal is that our customers continue to have access to these needed items in a safe and healthy environment.

We are evaluating our store operations on a daily basis, and will reflect the most current strategies of safe, healthy practices provided by the federal government and World Health Organization. Please be mindful of strategies such as social distancing when shopping our racks, and remember that the best way to keep a calm, enjoyable shopping experience is to treat others with kindness.

Our website will reflect the most current store hours of operation and updates as they continue to develop. We appreciate your business in these trying and unpredictable times.

Happy thrifting,

Family Thrift Center Management
